Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this is that post.

I think I'm done for a while. I'm not sure what that means for everyone else, especially the vets who've been here so long for me, and for that, I apologize.
There's only so much summer left, and I think we all know I just haven't been invested enough in what we do here to make it what it should be. And if I can't do it well, I'd rather put my time elsewhere. Which is a bit of an odd statement, as I've been hanging in there for quite a while on habit and loyalty more than anything else. I think I've long since passed the point where I need to focus more on other things, rather than spending time not focusing on this.

I'm usually pretty long winded, but I think everyone who knows me can tell that what I feel for all of you can't easily be summed up in words. The guilt in leaving, the gratitude for your friendship and community, I could go on, but the words aren't sufficient, and I trust that you guys know how I feel about you all.

I'm not gone, and you guys aren't strangers, so this isn't good bye. Just us spending less time together.

I was always wondering if this day would ever come.

Enjoy the extra hours each week to do whatever you want; this game will always be here for you, blah blah blah...

Really though, it's been great getting to know you and I'm sure if you apply the effort and work ethic you've put into this game to something else you will be successful in whatever it is - thanks for always being a level-headed leader and a great guy.

Good luck out there.

I was hoping this post would never come. Even though we butt heads on issues quite often and I try to push you into making more decisions on things you've been the best guild leader I've seen in over 5 years of playing this game, not to mention one of the best warriors I've had the pleasure of playing with. There isn't anyone else I know that can easily say a thousand words about an issue and still not make a decision on it, but that is what it takes to be a great leader as frustrating as it is. Always keeping the guild #1 and most of the time keeping a level head about things. I hope to see you back here one day but if that day never comes then I wish you the best of luck no matter where you go and what you do. Don't be a stranger around here :)

Take care Kav! I always told Geoff you were the only one who seemed to care about real life matters and events.. and through my morning sickness time you actually cared more about me getting rest then healing and for that.. THANK YOU! You are a great guild leader and I had a great time healing you! The best was when you finally grew testicles and yelled at people! Wollam and I laughed at that for awhile.. hee hee. Have fun doing things in the real life.. and oh.. if you really want to keep busy and have zero desire to play this game.. go get pregnant. It does wonders…. LoL

Cheerio! :D

P.S. Teresta sucks for not saying goodbye to me!

I know I no longer play but I just wanted to say thank you to Kurt for all his hard work and dedication over the years to this guild. You and I have definitely had our moments but in the long run I consider you a good friend. Without a doubt I'm so glad that you accepted to the run the guild when Dave and I asked. You're so level headed and have made so many right decisions for so long. This guild wouldn't have made it as long as it has without your direction.

Enjoy your time away from the game and best of luck to all your future endeavors. You deserve it.

No clue who is gonna be taking the reins on this but you have some very big shoes to fill and I hope you do it well.

Best of luck to everyone,

Daniel

Geeezzz... so much for the "Longest consistent raiding GM"!! Seriously though, you've got some great leadership skills and your dedication to the guild has given hundreds of members over the years loads of good times in WoW.

We'll take care of things while you're away and if you come back when Cata hits, I'll look forward to playing with you again!

Best to you Kav no matter what you do. Look me up if you ever cross the border and travel to a real city. Will sorely be missed.

Kurt it's been a blast. If I ever decide to visit Canada I'll be looking you up for sure. Take care and maybe Cata will have enough draw to bring back the best GM. If not keep on enjoying your brief summer :D

Thanks for everything Kav.

I really hoped this post would never come, but I knew it would come sooner or later. To tell you the truth, I wasn't really sure if joining this guild was the best choice for me in the beginning. I knew that raiding took time and commitment that I really didn't think a game should ever need. In some ways I still feel that's true. What I didn't know was the friendship and respect that came along with joining your guild. A guild that's known for having good people that truly aren't assholes just because they killed the meanest dragon at the time.

I always knew what the phrase "patience is a virtue" meant but I really never fully understood it, until I logged in vent and listened to the shit storm that you've had to deal with since I've been in this guild (Gruul's Lair to be exact, my trial run). I never really had much experience with different guilds and GMs like others have, to know or compare you to. All I know is, I really genuinely think that I would've quit this game a long time ago if it wasn't you leading this ship.

Good luck with everything.

Stephen

You were always the best thing that happen to E X A L T E D.. I hope I can speak for many of our older friends that we all have to this day a great deal of respect for you. You made the game fun for us all, by keeping a level head, as cool as the icebergs (circa 1900's).

I hope to see you around in other online games, ( I will still be using the same tag) and wish you nothing but the best burtvor in all future endavors!

Humbly,
Lt.G Risik
Paul <3

PS. If you ever need a guildmates for guildwars2 or whatever else you decide to play I hope we will be on top of your list. :)
